Courts will be available on a first-come, first serve-basis. You have to be present and available to take a court when you sign up. In the event you are already on court for a lesson, you may not sign up for use of another court until the end of that lesson.
Prior to taking a court, one of the players must sign up with an exact starting time. Examples: 9:00, 9:01, 9:05. The time cannot be changed.
If a court surface is not available, players may sign their name and time on the waiting list on the sign-up board, noting their preferred surface. You do not have to take a hard court if you prefer clay or vice versa. Preference for a particular court because of shade or location or any reason other than surface cannot be used to bump other players if there is a court available of the surface desired. You must take the next open court on that surface.
If there are players waiting, play is limited to 1½ hours.
It is the responsibility of the waiting players to notify those playing of their expiration time in a courteous and polite manner.
Courts should be surrendered immediately at the expiration time so as not to infringe on the time of others.
Adult members shall have preference over Junior players 18 and under after 5:00 p.m. unless the junior(s) is (are) playing with an adult member.
After playing on courts, you are responsible for picking up all trash around and on the court. Receptacles for trash are conveniently located on all courts and throughout the club. Please strive to leave the courts, clubhouse, and grounds as clean or preferably cleaner than when you arrived.
Members using clay courts should brush them after play.
One member cannot be signed up as waiting on a court while simultaneously playing on another court.
One person will not be permitted to hold a court longer than 10 minutes after the starting time while waiting on an opponent for a singles match. The court will then be surrendered to the next players waiting. Basically this means you shouldn’t take a court until your opponent arrives unless you want to risk losing the court due to the tardiness of the opponent.
Two or more players of a doubles match may take a court when signed in, but will receive no time extension due to the tardiness and late arrival of the balance of the foursome. In other words, you shouldn’t take a court until your opponents or partners arrive unless you want to risk losing the court due to the tardiness of the other players.

Guidelines and Trial Membership
Purpose for this special membership:
This trial membership is for one season (estimated three months), one time only. It must be pre-approved by the board and is only considered in cases where the number of team players is such that there are not enough Cardinal members to field a team with players of the same computer rating.
These persons must be members of a Cardinal League team, abiding by all rules and requirements of that league.
They will have all the privileges and rights afforded a single membership for a period of three months.
A fee of one quarter’s dues will be charged.
Only members are allowed to play on Cardinal League teams, whether deemed home or away team, or for team practices.
Non-members not paying the one-time fee cannot be considered as a guest for league matches. See Cardinal Rules #13.
