Rules & Regulations
MEMBERSHIP PRIVILEGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A late payment fee of $25 will be assessed to anyone not paying dues by the 10th of the month, after the beginning of the quarter.
Pets will be allowed at the club only if they are on a leash and with their owner at all times. Pets are not allowed in the clubhouse, on the patio when there is food out or in the restrooms.
Pro instruction is limited to two courts on Saturday mornings before 11:30 p.m. and is limited to three courts after 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
COURT USAGE
During league play in the spring and fall, if only one team is scheduled to play at Cardinal, a total of five courts will be reserved for team play. Of the five courts, only three clay courts will be used at one time. The rest of the courts will be open for members. In the event there are two teams the same day, four (4) soft courts and (4) hard courts will be reserved for league play, leaving six (6) courts for members. The teams will have to stagger one of their lines and wait for an open court. (In the event there are open courts with no members playing, it will be at the discretion of the Director of Tennis to allow the open courts to be used for a league match.)
LEAGUE PLAY
The only intra-club players allowed to reserve courts are the Monday night men’s group. They are approved for four clay courts on Monday nights at 6:30 p.m.
No other intra-club leagues or team practices are allowed to hold courts or bump other players.
**USTA league play – All captains must have their teams and rosters registered with the club pro and approved by the Board prior to the season starting. Captains, or an appointed representative, must attend a captain’s meeting to review rules and schedule match times prior to each season. All team players must be current on their dues before they can participate in a league match.
USTA league play on weeknights cannot begin before 6:30 p.m. unless approved by the Board.
No USTA league play is allowed on Saturday mornings before 11:30 a.m.
All club members have the right to be on a USTA league team at Cardinal. However, captains have all rights to decisions on play for their teams.
