Here’s a chance to meet our Assistant Pro, RICHARD TRACY!! Richard comes to us from Gainesville, Ga. Most recently he worked at the Hobson Performance Tennis Academy in Snellville, Ga. where he assisted in training many juniors with state, sectional and national rankings. The academy also had several players who currently hold ATP, WTA and ITF junior points toward rankings. He joined our staff in October and has many new and creative ideas for our juniors and adult clinics. He is certified by the Professional Tennis Registry and has taught and coached all levels from the very beginner to collegiate All-Americans. He was the Assistant Coach at Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. where the team was national runner-up twice and national champions in 2002.
We were sorry to have Corey Davis leave our club but he has moved a step up in his career by accepting a job in the Atlanta area at the Indian Hills Country Club as an assistant pro. He will be working with juniors as well as adults in his new position.

Thanks to Elaine Epstein for donating the hair drier in the women's bathroom. And thanks also to Martha Pruitt for taking the time to plant the red pansies in our planters. You’ve both help to make our club a better place!
LIGHTS! LIGHTS! LIGHTS! Please be sure and turn off the lights when you leave the courts at night. The new lights only have a life span that measure in hours before they start to get dim and have to be replaced. This will help on the life and cost of the bulbs. PARKING LOT LIGHTS – We have had many members report to us about the light situation in the parking lot. We thank you for your patience and have recently signed a contract with Duke Energy to erect two poles on the Cardinal Park side of the parking lot to shine toward the courts. This should be accomplished in the next couple of weeks. Lamp posts have been ordered and will be placed by the front steps to help light the walk to the parking lot area.
ATTENTION TO ALL MEMBERS:We love our new patio and so do the ants! Please keep the back patio clean of food on the floor or counter. It would also be appreciated if our cigarette smokers would not extinguish your cigarettes in any of the flower planters on the front or back patio or on any of the sidewalks or front entrance to the club. Please be sure to extinguish them and then put them in the trash cans. We want to keep the club looking in tip-top shape at all times!
MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION: Please let the office know when you have a birthday that changes your status from Single to Senior! There is a great reduction in dues and you will want to take advantage of it! Senior discounts start at age 70 and change again at age 80 for in county as well as out of county dues.
NEWSLETTER AND STATEMENTS BY E-MAIL
Members have been asking about whether it is possible to send you the Newsletters and Statements over the internet. We would like to hear from you and see if the majority would be interested. CARDINAL WEBSITE:
Please check out our website at www.cardinalracquetclub.com. A lot of work has been done on it including player profiles. Stan Vandiver has been working hard to get this up-to-date and the Member Directory is now current.
USED RACQUETS AND SHOES WANTED:
If you have any old racquets that are just gathering dust, please donate them to the club. There are many tiny tots and juniors in tennis camps and clinics that need a racquet. We also have a bin for used shoes to be recycled.
Get prepared by taking one of the available clinics
